ABOUT THE SADDLE SORE RANCH: Also know as “SSR”, the Saddle Sore Ranch is a privately owned property on Historic Route 66 in Golden Valley, AZ. The owners (Rob & Lubia) always welcome passers by to stop in and chat. This includes locals, as well as travelers looking to “Get their kicks on Route 66”. Due to the number of people that do stop in, they have put out a few picnic tables, and there is a shaded outdoor pavilion. SSR is also a popular stop among local motorcycle riders heading out to the historic town of Oatman, and the Arizona Sidewinder; a stretch of two lane road with 191 curves in just 8 miles. No guardrails!!

Rob & Lubia aren’t always there, but they are happy to allow people to stop and rest there. Get out of the sun or inclement weather, have a picnic, etc. If you do stop by, please take nothing but photos, and leave nothing but footprints. Abuse of the property will result in it being closed to the public.

Occasionally Rob & Lubia host private parties on the property, and they also make it available for private events. Follow Saddle Sore Ranch – Arizona Route 66 on facebook, and be sure to “CHECK IN” and “TAG” us on social media if you do stop by. We would love to see your pics!!

***Just remember, the Saddle Sore Ranch is PRIVATE property, and you are there at your own risk. They are not responsible for personal injury, or property damage of any kind. Surveillance cameras are all around the property, and are monitored 24/7.***

UPCOMING DATES OF INTEREST

April 22-28, 2024 – Route 66 Bike Week. Join us once again, as we pay a two (and three) wheel tribute to the Mother Road. Route 66 Bike Week is now a nationally recognized week of support for the Mother Road by motorcyclists from around the world. In Arizona, we do a scavenger hunt that stretches from Needles, CA to Seligman, AZ, providing over 300 miles (round trip) of fun, adventure and nostalgia. All of the “biker rally” activities are centered between Kingman and Oatman from April 25th thru the 28th. Follow along in the footsteps of the filming locations from the iconic movie Easy Rider. Participate in our Route 66 Scavenger Hunt. Head back to “Rally Central” (Saddle Sore Ranch) as often as you’d like for contests, games, shenanigans, vendors, bike shows, rat rods, optional onsite camping, nightly campfire parties and more. Amazing side trips like the Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Hualapai Mountain & more. Grab your free scavenger hunt sheet at the Saddle Sore Ranch anytime during the event. Completed sheets must be turned in by 5pm on Saturday. Wristband required at Saddle Sore Ranch after 6pm daily. 21 and up only, after 6pm, at the Saddle Sore Ranch. Regardless of what state you are in during that week, if you are on a motorcycle, we appreciate the support. Please send us pics of you on your bike, on Route 66. We would love to share them.

May 5th, 2024 – Route 66 Fun Run Viewing. 8am until noon. FREE for everyone. Join us as we celebrate the Fun Run from our place right on Historic Route 66. Over 600 classic, antique and hot rod cars parade by, as we wave them on. We also add our own little quirky roadside fun. This gathering is FREE, and family friendly. This is NOT a “special event”, just an invitation to watch the parade from our property and show our support for the Route 66 Fun Run. Limited to 50 people.
